I’m happy to announce my first performance with Graffito Works – a site specific improvisation company collection of many amazing and talented Philadelphia movers.

More about Graffito:
“Graffito Works is a unique platform for dancers and performing artists to create site-specific work and to make it readily accessible to the public.
Literally translated as “little scribbles” of movement, Graffito Works offers a non-traditional approach to creating dance – spontaneous, improvisational and collaborative, with a focus on the juxtaposition of bodies moving in space and their inter-relationship with sounds, objects and place.
Work is created in non-traditional spaces, challenging artists to push the boundaries of their craft, while making their work relevant and accessible to a wider audience.
The essence of Graffito Works is the exploration of the kinaesthetic possibilities of bodies moving through a given space in time. It examines the relationship of the physical laws that govern their motion—gravity, momentum, inertia. It is an evolving system of movement whose strength lies in the collaboration among dancers as well as with other performing artists, musicians, visual artists and communities.
Graffito Works offers audiences an opportunity to experience a transient moment of improvisational dance, which is specific to the place and context in which the movement is created.”
