// Това ателие е отворено за всички, които са заинтересовани от движенческа импровизация и моментално композиране. Ще работим с нашите сетив а към осъзнаване на цялата ни биологичност и същество. Ще се доверим на инстинктите си и най-важното ще се движим с любопитство, удоволствие и желание. От това място ще градим композиции и методики на импровизация. Ще се движим през цялото време.
Ателието е естествено разширение на представлението “Altered States” и ще предложи много от споменатите в представлението техники и методи на променени състояния.

Меган Бридж е американски танцьор със световна кариера, хореограф, продуцент и учен в света на танца. Базирана е във Филаделфия. Тя е съдиректор на Fidget, платформа за нейната съвместна работа с композитора, дизайнера и музиколог Питър Прайс.
Бридж е представяла своята хореография в Музея на изкуствата във Филаделфия, FringeArts и много други места във Филаделфия и Съединените щати. По време на турне, изпълненията на Бридж са я отвели в Ню Йорк, Виена, Берлин, Богота, София, Пловдив, Тбилиси, Скопие, Рен, Дрезден, Дюселдорф, Варшава, Краков, Люблин, Битом, Познан, Детройт, Питсбърг, Финикс, Йоханесбург, и Цюрих.
// ЗА ЗОРНИЦА СТОЯНОВА
Зорница Стоянова(САЩ/БГ) е награждаван хореограф, куратор, писател, видео и светлинен дизайнер. През 2006 г. завършва Bennington College със специалност хореография и звуков дизайн. След това се мести в Филаделфия, САЩ където продуцира и представя спектакли и видео под името BodyMeld/БодиМелд. От 2020 г. живее напълно в София, България и продължава да ръководи проектите на БодиМелд в САЩ, както и развива дейността на компанията на родна земя.
Зорница е привърженик на устойчиво развитие на танцовото общество и създава множество програми за подпомагане, сътрудничество и обучение на хореографи. Чрез BodyMeld тя основава и ръководи работилници и артистични резиденции. Като танцьор е работила за Жана Пенчева, Sasha Waltz & Guests, Eiko & Koma, Boris Charmatz, Cie. Willy Dorner, и м.н. други. Стоянова представя сценичните си работи в традиционни и нетрадиционни пространства, като част от местата са St. Marks Church, в Ню Йорк Сити, Live Arts Festival във Филаделфия, ДНК и Национална галерия КВАДРАТ 500 в София, ТАМ във В.Търново, Wanted Festival в Рен, Франция. Канена е на хореографски резиденции в Полша, Румъния, САЩ и България.
Нейните танцови арт филми са участвали във фестивали в САЩ, Мексико, Аржентина, Уругвай, България, Ирландия, Германия и Бангладеш. През май 2023 редстой първата и самостоятелна изложба в България, в галерията на Топлоцентрала, София.
Тя преподава “Техники за импровизация за сцена”, “Танц за камера”, и “Композиция” във Филаделфия, Франция, Унгария, родната си България и онлайн на хора от цял свят.
Зорница е и редактор в thINKingDANCE.net. А като майка на две деца продължава да работи за популяризирането на нуждите на родителите артисти в сценичната индустрия. www.bodymeld.org

Thinking with the Body – movement improvisation workshop |

// This workshop is open to all interested in movement improvisation and instant composition. Working from our senses and noticing all that we are, Megan and Zornitsa will lead the group toward trusting our instincts, recognizing patterns and ultimately moving with curiosity, pleasure, and desire. We will move throughout the whole time as well as working in smaller groups and witnessing each other.
The workshop is a natural expansion of the Altered States performance and will offer many of the scores/techniques proposed in the performance. Ultimately, working towards integrating all that we are and noticing our ability to compose and make choices in the here and now.

As a dancer, she has performed for Zhana Pencheva, Sasha Waltz & Guests, Eiko & Koma, Boris Charmatz and improvisation companies Emergent Improvisation Ensemble, and Graffito Works. Her screendance films have been shown in festivals across the U.S. and in Mexico, Argentina, Uruguay, Bulgaria, Ireland, Germany, and Bangladesh.
In May 2023, she will have her first solo exhibit in Bulgaria at Topocentrala gallery in Sofia.

    Megan Bridge

    Megan Bridge is an internationally touring dancer, choreographer, producer, and dance scholar based in Philadelphia. She is the co-director of Fidget, a platform for her collaborative work with composer, designer, and musicologist Peter Price.
    She is particularly interested in the historical lineages and discursive frameworks that situate her work. Her teaching practice is focused on improvisation and contemporary Western dance. She is currently an adjunct faculty member in the dance departments at Bryn Mawr College and Temple University, where she has taught a variety of studio and lecture classes. She regularly teaches and performs as a guest artist at Universities throughout the Philadelphia area.
    Bridge has worked with Jerome Bel, Willi Dorner, Lucinda Childs, David Gordon, Susan Rethorst, and Group Motion, and has studied with Deborah Hay, Steve Paxton, and Lisa Nelson. She holds a BFA in dance from SUNY Purchase, and an MFA in dance from Temple University where she received a Professional Achievement Award and a Professional Dance Educator Award.
    Bridge has presented her choreography at The Philadelphia Museum of Art, FringeArts, and many other venues throughout Philadelphia and the United States. On tour, Bridge’s performances have taken her to New York, Vienna, Berlin, Bogotá, Sofia, Plovdiv, Tbilisi, Skopje, Rennes, Dresden, Dusseldorf, Warsaw, Kraków, Lublin, Bytom, Poznań, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Phoenix, Johannesburg, and Zurich.
    In 2013 she was named “Best of Philly” for stage performance by Philadelphia Magazine. She has received funding support from American Dance Abroad, USArtists International, and more. She has published articles in Dance Chronicle, Dance Magazine, Pointe Magazine, and at thINKingDANCE.net.

    Zornitsa Stoyanova

    Zornitsa Stoyanova (USA/BUL) is an award-winning performance artist, curator, writer, lighting, and video designer. Based between Sofia, Bulgaria and Philadelphia, US, she directs her company BodyMeld which along with presenting her work, focuses on creating programs in support of independent choreographers in both her locales.
    Her stage, video and photographic work uses the female body as an abstract object revealing ideas of strength in female sensuality and emotionality. On stage, she explores feminist ideas, the power dynamics between dancers and audiences, and personal stories revealing vulnerability and strength.
    Her last group performance, AndroMeda, was commissioned and presented by The Philadelphia Museum of Art (2020), and her solo performance Explicit Female (2016) was awarded a “Rocky” – the Philadelphia contemporary dance award. Her choreographic work has been shown in festivals around the U.S. as well as in Bulgaria and France. As a dancer, she has performed for Eiko & Koma, Boris Charmatz, Cie. Willy Dorner, Group Motion and improvisation companies Emergent Improvisation Ensemble and Graffito Works. Her work with Emergent Improvisation brought her on the cover of “Composing While Dancing” book by Melinda Buckwalter. Her screendance films have been shown in festivals across the U.S. and in Mexico, Argentina, Uruguay, Bulgaria, Ireland, Germany, and Bangladesh. Among her most influential teachers are Deborah Hay, Danny Lepkoff, Meg Stuart, Susan Rethorst, Eva Karczag and others. Her work has been supported by National Cultural Fund of Bulgaria, Citizen for the Arts Pennsylvania, Pew Center for the Arts (previously Dance Advance) amongst others.
    Zornitsa is also a supporter for a sustainable dance community and is deeply invested in helping further conversation and collaboration. Through BodyMeld she has created workshops, residencies, and showcases – most notably her partnership with Movement Research(NYC) and Stary Browar Novie Taniec(Poland) in bringing Polish artists to Philadelphia. She teaches improvisation techniques for performance, dance on camera and composition and has done so in Philadelphia, France, Hungary, her native Bulgaria, and online. Zornitsa is also a writer and editor for thINKingDANCE.net.
