How much can you do with what you already have? Forget the fancy cameras, white balances and special software – as an independent artist you might never be able to afford them. Lets create masterpieces with our phones and the free software out there. This is a workshop in understanding the fundamentals of space and composition inside the digital frame – hacking the expectation of expensive equipment and making excellent art with what we have.
This is a workshop specifically for dance makers interested in producing dance on camera. In the first day we will learn the major difference between dancing live, vs. dancing for the camera. We will learn how space and perspective change on the digital canvas and shoot movement both with stationary and moving camera.
The second day of the workshop we will focus on the actual space for shooting, the lighting and story boarding.
Please, bring your phones and make sure you have enough space on them to film for the weekend. If you do have access to a fancy camera, do bring it and we will go through the proper settings of that as well if interested.
